Public Transport
Public transport admirably serves the market. Three tram
services (from the City) pass through the Camberwell Junction,
where you would alight from the tram. These services are the
East Burwood (Route # 75 leaves CBD via Flinders Street), Wattle
Park (Route # 70 leaves CBD via Flinders Street) and Camberwell
(Route # 72 leaves CBD via Swanston Street) services. A short
100 metre walk from the Camberwell Junction in the
north-easterly direction (behind the shops in Burke Road) gets
you to the market.
As well, the Lilydale, Ferntree Gully and Alamein train
services all pass through Camberwell railway station, which is
again about 100 metres from the market. The market is in a
southerly direction from Camberwell railway station - walk along
Railway Pde and then into Station Street.
Private Vehicle
Directly across Station Street from the market is a 700+ car
park. This car park is located under the Safeway and Target
shopping complex and has a two hour parking limit on Sunday
mornings. Normally, this would provide ample time to browse the
market (and hopefully Buy there!) and maybe have a cup of
tea/coffee as well. There are two entrances to this carpark in
Station Street and another entrance in Fairholm Grove, the next
street east from Station Street. |
