The Talbot Farmers Market opens at the Scandinavian Crescent every month on the 3rd Sundays between 9 am and 1 pm. When you arrive here, you cannot miss the aura of some of the European markets. The market supports in excess of 80 stalls displaying regional produce of vegetables, fruits, bread, cheese, organic produce, oils, delicacies, wine, as well as stock feed, chooks, pigs, plants, cut flowers, and seedlings to the accompaniment of live local music.
Talbot Farmers’ market enjoys a chequered history of close to 15 years and is among the earliest of farmers’ markets in the Victoria region supporting regional and local farmers, food producers, artisans and growers. It is a proudly community based market that draws in excess of 2000 visitors every month. Being there early is advised if you are shopping for fresh food since they get sold off quickly.
The adjacent Town Hall also has some treasures that are most unexpected. You can browse through and even buy some of them.
